CAPSTONE PROJECT
Launched in 2024, the Lynbrook Titans Capstone Project is a powerful new tradition for our graduating 12-year-old players. This initiative proves that the grit and teamwork learned on the gridiron belong in the real world, too.
Each year, our oldest athletes take the lead—selecting a cause, rallying their teammates, and spearheading a community project. It’s more than just a farewell; it’s an opportunity for these young men to step into leadership, embrace empathy, and give back to the community that has cheered them on since day one.
PAST PROJECTS
2025 – Ronald McDonald House Charities
Under Coach Ben Grandmougin, his 12-year-old boys were inspired by the team’s firsthand experience withnessing two young girls from our community face cancer diagnoses. The boys expressed a strong desire to give back and to recognize the vital role R.M.H.C. plays in supporting families during medical crises.
2024 – Marines Toys for Tots Program
Under the dedicated leadership of Coach John McHugh, our program’s first group of 12-year-old players proudly selected Marine Toys for Tots as the partner for their inaugural Capstone Project. The boys took the initiative to organize and lead a community toy drive, working tirelessly to collect gifts for local children in need.
